Personal Data Processing

In accordance with the provisions of Law 15/1999, of December 13, on the Protection of Personal Data, the user accepts that the personal data provided at the time of booking will be incorporated into a file owned by Compañía Hotelera Andes Plaza, hereinafter referred to as the company, with 830.012.169-9 and registered office at Avenida 15 Calle 100 Chicó norte, Bogotá (Colombia), for the management of the reservation system, the processing of your request, control and management of the relationship with website users who process bookings, as well as for conducting statistical studies of registered users on the aforementioned website to design improvements in the services provided. All fields on the forms marked as mandatory must be completed for your requests to be correctly processed. The personal data you provide will only be communicated to third parties in compliance with legal obligations or with your prior consent. The user expressly consents that the provided banking data be used to address potential penalties for cancellations or no-shows as set in the rate conditions. The processing of your bookings necessarily implies the aforementioned processing, and therefore the process cannot proceed in case of opposition to the same. You may, at any time, exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation, or opposition as indicated below.

Accuracy of the Data

The user will, in any case, be responsible for the accuracy of the data provided, reserving the company the right to exclude from registered services any user who has provided false data, without prejudice to other actions that may apply in Law. Furthermore, the user must be duly authorized to provide data of third persons. Only if they have the consent of future hotel guests may the user list their names and surnames in the Room Distribution section. Such information, which will allow the chosen Hotel to provide better service to its guests, is optional, so its provision by the user implies, under their exclusive responsibility, the assumption of the duty to inform them of the content of our Privacy Policy before offering personal information.

Data Processing During Navigation

In accordance with the obligation set forth in Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002, of July 11, on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce, you are informed that the company uses cookies. A cookie is a piece of text information that websites transfer to the hard drive of the devices that connect to them. We use session cookies to identify the user and maintain their identification status. Session cookies are automatically deleted from the hard drive at the end of the session. We also use cookies to collect anonymous and aggregated statistics that allow us to analyze how users use our website, in order to improve it. The following information about our website visitors is obtained and retained:
  • a) The domain name of the provider (PSI) and/or IP address giving them access to the network. For example, a user from provider xxx will only be identified with the domain xxx.es and/or IP address. This way, we can compile statistics about the countries and servers that visit our website most often.
  • b) The date and time of access to our website. This allows us to find out peak times and make necessary adjustments to avoid saturation problems at our peak hours.
  • c) The internet address from which the link leading to our website originated. Thanks to this data, we can understand the effectiveness of the different banners and links pointing to our server, to enhance those that provide better results.
  • d) The number of daily visitors in each section. This allows us to know the most popular areas and increase and improve their content so that users obtain a more satisfactory result.
This will allow us to obtain the following information:
  • a) The date and time of the last time the user visited our website.
  • b) The content design that the user chose during their visit to our website.
  • c) Security elements involved in controlling access to restricted areas.
Although the obtained information is, in principle, completely anonymous, following Report 327/2003 of the Spanish Data Protection Agency, users are informed that the aforementioned data will be incorporated into a personal data file owned by the company for the previously detailed purposes, and the user may exercise their rights of access, rectification, cancellation, and opposition as indicated below. We also use the Google Adwords remarketing tool. This tool allows us to publish ads on the Google Adwords Content Network (more details about the Google content network here: https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2404190) based on previous visits of users to our website. For this purpose, some pages of our website include a code called “remarketing tag”. These tags allow us to read and set cookies in your browser to determine the specific type of ad that will be shown to the user, based on elements related to their visit to our website, such as the navigation circuit chosen, specific pages visited, or actions taken on them. The remarketing lists thus created are stored in a database in Google’s servers, where all cookie IDs associated with each list or category of interests are stored. The obtained information only allows us to identify a specific browser, and Google is unable to identify the user solely with this information (more about the Remarketing tool at the following link: https://www.google.es/adwords). Regarding the company, this information can only be associated with a specific user if that user is identified on the website, for instance, by having completed a booking process. In this case, the data thus obtained will be communicated to the company for commercial prospecting purposes and web user segmentation to design commercial campaigns according to interests shown during navigation, and the data will be incorporated into a file of the aforementioned entity for the stated purposes. To oppose the aforementioned processing and communication, the user can disable cookies, as explained below: The user has the option not to receive cookies or be informed about their installation through their browser settings. However, if cookies are disabled, you may not be able to use all website functionalities. Regarding remarketing cookies, the user can disable the use of Google’s cookies by visiting Google’s ad disabling page. You can also disable DoubleClick cookies by visiting the DoubleClick disabling page (in English). To disable the use of third-party cookies, users can also visit the Network Advertising Initiative’s disabling page (in English). At any time, the user may exercise their rights of access, rectification, cancellation, and opposition as indicated below.

Only when there is consent, the personal data necessary for communication will be transferred to Paraty Hoteles S.L and will be used to keep you informed, either by email or any other means, of news, products, and services related to the company and Paraty S.L. From this moment on, you are informed that if this is your expressed wish, your personal data will be incorporated into a personal data file for which the company is responsible, allowing the user to access, cancel, rectify their data, or oppose its processing by writing to the company as indicated below.
