Enjoy from the city

Bogotá is the capital and largest city in Colombia. A melting pot of people from around the country, it is diverse and multicultural, with a blend of modern and colonial architecture. The predominant colors in Bogotá are the green of the city’s many parks and the eastern mountains overlooking the sanctuaries of Monserrate and Guadalupe, and the rich red of its many brick buildings.

In Bogotá, the seat of Colombia’s government, visitors can visit the Gold Museum, which houses an important collection of pre-Hispanic objects and is referenced by the National Geographic Magazine among the 16 best museums of history in the world.

The La Candelaria neighborhood in Bogotá is a magical place, surrounded by the oldest houses of the city that are witnesses of it history. In this area you can also find:

  • The Colón Theater
  • The Library “Bibliotheca Luis Angel Arango”
  • The Museum “Casa de la Moneda”
  • The Museum "Donación Botero"
  • The public square “Plaza de Bolívar”

Sanctuary Of Monserrate

The image of the Lord of Miracles is worshipped in a shrine on top of Monserrate Hill, almost two miles above sea level. If visitors do not prefer to take the two-mile walk up the hill, they can take the funicular, which has scaled the hill since 1929, or the cable car, which opened in 1955. Look no further than Monserrate Hill for the best views of the city.

Zona Rosa (Pink Zone)

At Calle 82 we do have two shopping centers: the Andino and the Atlantis Plaza. Around this area and especially at Calle 82 you will find many bars, restaurants, casinos and libraries.

Colpatria Tower

Enjoy a great view of Bogotá from the 48th floor of the Colpatria Tower in downtown Bogotá. At 562 feet, this is the tallest building in the city. The colorful LED lights installed in the building's facade can be seen at night from several parts of the capital. It is open to the public on weekends.
